Each of the self-serve kiosks was equipped with a 2D barcode scanner, label printer and industrial PC with capacitive touch monitor. Moreover, for easy installation purposes, the company also provided wall and floor mounting options for the kiosks.

Challenge: Tailor-Made Self-Service Kiosks To Fulfill The Business’s Needs
Our customer required a durable kiosk with a modern appearance and various mounting options. As the kiosk was required to print a 4-inch direct thermal or thermal transfer label, a small footprint 4-inch label printer, supporting both direct thermal and thermal transfer labels was mandatory. In order to provide a good self-service experience for the users, a high-speed easy-to-scan 2D barcode scanner was required. The company needed to complete the installation of 33 sets of self-serve kiosks in a short period of time.
Solution: Provision of Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance Services
Million Tech delivered 33 sets of tailor-made stainless-steel kiosks with wall or floor mount installation options. The kiosks were each equipped with a Sato CG408TT Compact Thermal Transfer Label Printer which supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer labels, and a Denso QK30-U Fixed Mounted 2D Barcode Scanner that provides an excellent QR code scanning performance and a 30% wider scanning area (easier to scan), when compared with other barcode scanners on the market.
The company scheduled a site visit to confirm the kiosk’s installation specifications at each location, such as the required kiosk mounting type, power and network socket locations. Detailed requirements were marked precisely on a black-and-white report, which was provided to both our in-house project team and our customer, in order to roll-out the project in a timely manner and complete on time.
Moreover, the company provided on-site hardware maintenance for the kiosks in 33 different locations in Hong Kong.
